Today I thought I would share some of my holiday photos and experiences with you all. (Before I forget what I did)
After 6 months of planning and research my husband Shaun, our friend Michael and I went off to AMERICA, Shaun and I have been there before but Michael had never travelled outside of Australia.
The flight was OK I didn’t find it too long as I have travelled to Malta so many times that America didn’t seam so far.
We arrived in LA at 8 am in the morning and our connection flight was not will 4pm so we called a Lefty ( like Uber ) and we went to the nearest shopping centre to kill some time. I was like a kid in a candy store as there were all the brands that I love.
We finally made it to NYC at midnight and I was so happy to finally be there, and to see Sephora was only 2 blocks away made it even better.
Our First day in NYC was spent walking through central park and exploring all the fun and interesting things it has to offer.
We decided to row around in the lake near the Boat house ( the one from the movie 27 Dresses). We had such a great time I just sat there while the boys took it in turns to row and serenade me LOL (Hope they never give up there day jobs).
We walked passed a beautiful carousel that had been there since 1871 it is located Mid-Park at 64th Street. The photo is of the pole fence that surrounds the carousel.
I was very excited to go to Liberty island as I have always wanted to climb to the top of the statue of Liberty, it is one of the things on my bucket list.
The 377 stairs kind of scared me as I am not very good with stairs but I with the encouragement of Shaun and Michael I did it. The view from the top was beautiful but my photo’s didn’t really turn out nice from up there 😦
New York was great fun the only thing that let me down was the weather is was still a bit cold ( and you all know how I feel about the cold ) Other then that it was great fun we visited so many places but if I sit here telling you about them all this blog will be 100 pages long.
I will be posting blogs up soon about the rest of my trip over the next few weeks so stay tuned.
